Is this the funniest typo ever?

"Sarah Palin Uses Alternate Facebook Accunt to Praise Sarah Palin." on the front cover (?) of Slate. 

of course the american right have turned it into a big conspiracy theory - that this is, in fact, not a typo at all. Nothing to do with basically removing sub-editors from the journalism process entirely.

but seriously.... dead funny. 

Best ride ever

Because of a *doh* moment.

Rode to work, yadda yadda. Thinking that my panniers were making it hard. My legs were so tired that as I was doing the last climb I was having to sit down for bits of it, just because my legs were sore.

On the way home I started to think about the fact that when I started riding, I used to ride in 3rd gear mainly, switching down to 2nd for climbs and the last bit. But that for quite a while I had not gotten out of 2nd, and it seemed even harder than I remembered riding in 3rd. Which didn't make sense, as I have gotten stronger in everything else.

My panniers mean that I have a new habit of looking round or down through the bike to check them. and as I was starting my ride tonight, I was thinking about this stuff as I looked down through my bike, and noticed the back gears. And looked at the right-hand gear lever. And realised that it was set at 7, when it was normally sitting on 4. I thought 'can that really make a difference' and clicked the gears back to 4... and OMG. It was so much easier that my legs wanted to wrap themselves around my neck and give me cuddles.

The ride home after that was fantastic. I did the bridge at Claisebrook seated the whole way up! 

I did decide that the final hill home was too much, so I rode past Thomas St and down the train line to the next station and then in through the suburb home. 35 minute ride, and I was feeling goooood!
