Well that was unusual
Sep. 24th, 2012 10:31 amHas anyone else ever had the postie come to their door and ask them to put 'no junk mail' signs on the letterbox? I knew my neighbour recently re-numbered all the letterboxes at our flats, but apparently he put on a 'no junkmail sign as well'. And the postie thought it was the best one he has ever seen, and he would like the rest of us to have them too. Apparently our mailboxes are bad for junkmail. Plus he wanted to know if we had tenants in the upstairs flats yet.
I have had some odd conversations like this with posties before - I remember being a bit startled by how much my postie knew about my movements when I lived in Brisbane - it makes sense when you stop and think about it - they would get all your notifications to forward on mail or hold it when you are away or whatever, but it is still a bit startling when you are confronted with it.
