Running
I finally got off my butt and went for a run this morning. I decided against starting from level one again, so I tried level two of the C25K program.
Not bad - I felt like I got stronger and better each of the first three running intervals. But after that I was tired, and after halfway I began to wonder if the walking intervals were really longer than the running intervals - really didn't feel that way.
Overall I was ok. Knee a bit grumpy in the last running session. The only problem was my left achilles got really tight towards the end of the run and the walk home. Actually my left achilles has been tight for a while, now that I think about it. Not interfering with any of my exercise until this morning, but tight after. And gone by the time I am sitting around a home with a phone - where I could make an appointment with a physio. I will do that now actually.
So my run was 34 mins, ave heart rate 136, max heart rate 173, 509 cals.
I have decided that the only way I am going to get fit is by doing something each day. So any day where I am not riding, or have a boot camp/boxing class, or swim - I will run. Do need to go and buy some new socks and a new pair of shoes. And sweat bands - can you still get them?
