Hardcore is not something I think I am. But today definitely was.
One of the other woman from mothers group and I have started running a couple of times a week. We are doing C25K, but with prams. Week 2 (but only third run, and we are running the week one level) today. And it was raining. And she didn't have a car (and trains are out) so the park near my place was out for running.
So I drove round to her place, and we ran from there. You know the bit today when the full on storm hit for a bit over a half hour? THAT would be when we were running. It was astonishing - the rain was horizontal and we are trying to jog with prams into it. And it was also funny - right when we decided to call it quits, the program said 'and now the cool down walk' - so we didn't even cut it short!
We meant to take photos of ourselves when we got back - looking like we had fallen into the lake! Because we were like 'noone will believe we are this hardcore!' But we got back and were dripping and sorting out babies and pram rain covers and running slickers and so on, and we promptly forgot.
