Dinner

Did the normal Monday night thing tonight - I stay after work and do a couple of hours of study as the wookie is busy with the kids until about 7. We normally pick up some dinner on the way home. I had an errand to run after work tonight, dropping something off in the suburb where I grew up. So after visiting the family friends we decided to grab some food at the nearby shops, and in a moment of nostalgia I pointed out the chinese restaurant I used to go to as a teenager with my friends.

Awesome awesome choice. This is one of those suburban chinese restaurants built in the 70s with the octagon doorways and dreadfully overdone hong-kongese day-core. And a bit up-dates but still slightly 70s suburban aussie menu. It was fantastic. Food smelled great and tasted wonderful and the serves were HUGE - I mean the wookie can pack it away, and we have come home with heaps of food - and we only ordered three dishes. One of them was both served in a silver duck AND it was on fire! And we had to request chopsticks! I absolutely loved it.

It was actually a brilliant dinner, as we were at just the right point of hunger to really enjoy dinner, but not so hungry that we ate too much. Must remember to go out there again sometime - and this time I will get fried ice cream for desert!
