grumpy aunty today.
Jun. 23rd, 2011 11:05 amI got up at bum-crack-of-dawn early this morning to go round to my SIL's and do the kids this morning. Initially I was asked to just hang around for a half hour until Max's daycare opened. But then it turned into me doing the morning for both kids and getting them off to daycare.
It took me from 6am to 9am to get two kids up, dressed, and off to daycare. Actually that isn't entirely right. I had no time constraints so I let Mea sleep in, and I managed to get Max back to sleep for about 45 minutes this morning. He was so gorgeous - fell asleep in my arms and just lay there looking all gorgeously asleep and cuddly and lovely skin. I really do like this kid.
I also liked dressing Mea, that was fun. and she is not just about the pink and purple which I was happy about. I rugged her up like she was going to play in the snow I think - but well aunties will do that.
but then it all went a bit pear-shaped. My sister in law left bags (I thought) ready to go. but apparently I was supposed to look through them and know what went to daycare. I am a bit grumpy about this actually - cause either leave me a list or pack the bag with all the stuff in it! So I have had to make two trips back to the house and daycare to take things.
So then I took the dog for a nice slow walk at the dog park, letting him sniff and pee every tree. I wish I could ask why he pees on each tree from either side (as in lifts one leg, then turns around and lifts the other!) Came home with a very happy shoebuffer. and chilled out myself too.
