Meh - morning.
Jun. 16th, 2011 07:53 amGrumble, grumble - stupid internets aren't working with my laptop. My parents don't have wireless (aaaaaaarrrrrgh) and so I went off and bought 25 meters of cat 5 cable, so that I could still use my laptop wherever I wanted in the house, and have the internets. which initially worked but then started crashing, then the computer started hassling me about set up and it all went down hill from there. honestly, isn't the point of a mac that it does that kind of stuff for you?
and grumpy about getting up early (it is cold in the wee hours here) to go round the daycare centres with my SIL to drop off niece and nephew and have them take my licence details and all so that I can drop off and collect smalls. Actually it was fine, I am just grumpy.
My brother and sister in law are being very organised since I have been here. unfortunately their organisation means they ring me each morning, on the house phone (not my mobile which I can answer without getting out of bed), to make sure I am going to be on time. which is considerate... and I am awake... just not up. This morning SIL rang to say 'make sure to bring your licence'. So I said 'which one, drivers or shooters?'. Actually, that would be kind of cool to bring a shooters licence as ID. I mean, I am pretty sure you had to go through as much testing and police verification and so on to get a shooters licence.
hmm. breakfast. and back to bed. and scowling at computer cause it won't just work.
