Horrible

Did I say that I loved Hyde Park? Noooo - Hyde Park is HORRIBLE. I got uphills for all 6 running intevals last night - I thought I was going to die. OMG running uphill is hard. I suspect I looked like I was running in place at times.

on the upside, my birthday present arrived yesterday. I know, I got it early. That is ok, I need to play with it lots now.

and one more nice thing - I got a lovely call from my boss yesterday telling me how awesome I have been filling in for the EO this fortnight. Which was really nice. And I hope true, but until the person who does the job comes back, we won't know what I have stuffed up really. But nice all the same.

It isn't hard to make you cry at a funeral I suppose. But a reminder as to what the response to a tragedy can be. Not blame and finger pointing and more division. But acknowledgement of the people lost, and how positives can come out of tragedy.

5 minutes on the phone to a customer service person and they have explained what the huge charge for "2 way binary traffic" was about (some kind of premium sms - they send me a message and I get to pay for it), have barred them from ever coming on my account again, and credited my account for the charge.

Woot. Awesome customer service. Love it.

Blink

 Apparently most of the right commentators and leaders have praised Obama's speech. *blink* *blink*

and they been saying that now he has become the president.

Which makes me less happy that he didn't blame them and their violent hate speech, and say it created this situation. But, e is the president that tries to find common ground. and he does it phenomenally well. And the longer I work with a politician the more I get why that is such a valuable ability.

but if Glenn Beck liked the speech too - makes me a want to vomit a bit.
