Friends

Last night we had dinner with our lovely friends B&C. They are the couple who recently got married in Bris, for whom I was bridesmaid.

It was great all round. Great to get out of the house and away from my family for a night. Great to shop for their wedding and xmas presents. Great to see them. Great dinner and general great time hanging out.

There is this huge shopping area about halfway btw the Gold Coast and Brisbane - a bit like Innaloo is at home. There is an Ikea and factory outlets and all the big shops. We found this lovely kitchen stuff shop and bought their gifts there. They had such great stuff and such nice staff. Amongst the stuff we gave them was this toast stamp - you apparently stamp the bread before putting it in to toast and it toasts the pattern on to it.

We went to their fave chinese restaurant and had a banquet. Such great food. Ended with deep fried ice-cream for the win.

Then home to watch the latest big bang theory and the robot chicken star wars episodes. Finally a robot chicken ep I thought was funny.

and they may have just saved the family holiday (horror-day?) by loaning us their wii for the week. Excellent!
