Article

I want to link this article, because it is a really fantastic piece of journalism, and very deserving of the peabody prize it won. But please note the warning before linking it - this is an article that looks at infant death by hyperthermia, and the journalist spends alot of time with parents who this has happened to and really tells their stories, and does not pull punches. So it is emotionally stressful.

The sub-heading is about whether it is a crime or just a terrible accident when it happens.

And I think the theme is important - it really could happen to anyone.

A nice one this time

harvardmagazine.com/commencement/the-fringe-benefits-failure-the-importance-imagination

J.K. Rowlings speech at the Harvard Graduation .... it is great, and it is also very funny. Who knew JK could be funny? Noone in the fan community I suspect!

But great stuff about the benefits of failure.

*** Posted before I finished reading it in total. There is actually some trigger stuff on this one too - she describes working at Amnesty with political prisoners in a fairly direct way - so there is some stuff about torture and the general awfulness that is the real reason people will get into boats and try to get here.

:D
