Did I mention....

That I had agreed to house, cat and (3) kid - sit for my friends for a week? Yeah I know, but it didn't seem like a big deal 18 months ago when they asked.....

actually I reckon it will be fine. We have everything planned, and there is much scope for bribery and corruption of children.

So, Day 1.

Two of the three kids were broken when I turned up at school to pick them up. #3 was a temporary playground thing (kicked while hanging upside down on the monkey bars). The other one was a bit more of a drama. #2 apparently can't catch, and took a ball to the eye. Ze came out with a teacher attached, who was explaining that he had had cold compresses on the eye and all. So ballet was off for the afternoon.

So we all set off for the library, and #1 and #2 hung out in the graphic novel section, #3 headed off to the indoor playground, the wookie hung out in a cafe and kept an eye on #3 and I went shopping. Got all the ingredients for dinner tonight and tomorrow night.

So, homework is being done, dinner is bubbling away, #1 has helpfully gone off to the shop, wookie is playing gym or something with youngest (he just made zer run laps in the backyard - ze is a bit evervescent tonight). I have promised a moofie if everyone gets homework done and there is peace until dinner.
